Kim Austin is a Young Global Professional Intern at the Atlantic Council's Adrienne Arsht-Rockefeller Foundation Resilience Center, where she provides program and project support, particularly across extreme heat, climate risk, gaming, and policy initiatives.
She is currently completing a BA in political science at Howard University with minors in Economics and Spanish. Kim will be graduating with honors in May 2021 upon completion of her senior thesis, a research project which aims to analyze racial discrimination in Colombia’s labor market.
She studied abroad in Cali, Colombia and Oaxaca, Mexico during her sophomore year to learn more about social injustice and human rights abuse abroad. Upon conclusion of her undergraduate studies, Kim will be pursuing a career in international affairs.
